Founded in 2014 in the heart of Dallas, we didn't aim to be just another furniture brand. We had a vision fueled by a profound desire: to keep alive the delicate artistry of the past, the human touch, and the seduction of fine materials.
From the start, we held a deep appreciation for English traditional designs. We crafted every creation as a tribute to the past, echoing tales of bygone eras. But as time moved on, our discerning clientele's desires changed too. They didn't want us to abandon our roots; they wanted a fresh take on them for the contemporary age.
Under the guidance of James Hughes, our Partner & Creative Director, we evolved. Drawing from his design expertise and foresight, James envisioned a fusion of old-world charm and modern-day aesthetics. Entering this new design realm presented challenges. We had to blend our treasured heritage with present-day innovations, a balancing act. We aimed to uphold the Boston Mills ethos in every piece while navigating the changing tides of design.
Through all the challenges, Boston Mills stood strong. Our designs began showcasing a harmony of ages, where the soulful artistry of traditional woodworking met bold, contemporary designs.
