REAL LEATHER

At Boston Mills, we only use 100% real high-grade top or full-grain leather all the way around. Genuine leather is luxurious, unique and becomes beautiful and more comfortable with time. Just like cheese and wine, natural leather is known to age gracefully. Markings on the leather surface like bites, scars, burns, or scrapes indicate the real deal. These wrinkles and marks are individual imperfections that speak to the uniqueness of the animal hide.

Leather is the most durable upholstery option for furniture and will last longer than fabric. It softens as it ages and becomes even more flexible. High-grade leather breathes, absorbs, and releases moisture, contributing to a comfy feel. Leather also doesn't retain dust, allergens and pet dander like fabric does, offering a more hypoallergenic choice for upholstered furniture.

Although leather is very durable and doesn't require painstaking maintenance, it does require occasional cleaning and triage. Therefore, learning to care for your leather upholstery is essential for maintaining the life of your furniture. Please read our Leather Care section under Care & Maintenance for specific instructions.
