CARE & MAINTENANCE

The talented hands of skilled craftsmen work on the furniture exterior thoroughly. However, to ensure that this furniture gets the ultimate form of care it needs other things to be done. Here is what can be done to safeguard your wood furniture and maintain its original look:

  • Keep the furniture away from direct sunlight and heat sources, such as fireplaces or radiators. Direct exposure along with exposure to a humid atmosphere can damage it. If the area experiences severe humidity variation, use a humidifier.

  • Use mats and coasters and similar protective layers when placing food and beverages on your tables. Heat and dampness from cups, sources, and plates can cause damage. Also, spillage can be harmful to the surface of your furniture. Make sure you have a sponge to blot the liquid from the surface immediately and a cloth to wipe up.

  • Dust the furniture every two weeks with a lint-free cloth to remove the loose dust, so it does not settle into the wood. When removing any items from the surface of the furniture - lift the objects away and not slide them off.

  • Oil the wood to replenish lost oils and help preserve wood’s natural beauty. After wiping furniture with a dusting cloth, apply a small amount of Guardsman Revitalizing Lemon Oil to a clean, soft cloth. Polish in the direction of the grain. Buff with a clean, cotton cloth.
